This is a run-down of the site features and how you can use them. It will be a living document, updated as new features are added.
Approved members of the site may post to their own area of the site, called a blog, located at www.ipmshamilton.com/blogs/username. This is your own private space and only you can post here (although other users may comment on your blog posts). In order to get a blog you must first be approved. Email and we'll make sure it's sorted out quickly. We encourage you to blog about your modelling experiences but we'll let anything go for now as long as it's appropriate. Please note that the rules are subject to change and that if you abuse the blog, the privilege will be taken away.
If you are approved, you may make a blog post by first clicking the "Create content" link in the left-hand navigation where you'll find the "Blog entry" link. A blog posts works much like any forum you've probably ever used and you can use some HTML tags, or BBCode (tags like [url][/url], [img][/img], etc.) if you're more comfortable with those. The blog post form also has a space for Tags. Tags are simply descriptive terms of the content of your post seperated by commas, for example you could use "modelling project, update, F-15" if you were posting an update for an F-15 project. Be creative, and descriptive. See this page for more composition tips.
Posting a comment works almost exactly like posting a blog. You may still use BBCode and some simple HTML tags. Abusive commenters will have their accounts blocked.
